It looks like you have set "Always open in the ... container" for the site. So it behave exactly as you have configured - it attempts to switch to the container you configured it should be open in. But it looks that after setting "Always open in the ... container" you didn't confirm your configuration so it ask you every time until you either will confirm or will go to container configuration and remove target site from the site list.
for more information you could:
Scenario 1: It's fixed in the next release (8.1.1) by #2391
Scenario 2: Duplicate of #2126

Step to reproduce
The dialogue for opening a page outside of the assumed container is confusing and doesn't behave as I would expect. I have two main issues:

One more concern about this feature, is that it doesn't even make sense to me. I am using this plugin to log into a single site with multiple accounts, so why would there be an "assigned" container for a site. Every site I access in a container will be accessed in multiple containers, so this doesn't work for me as well. I guess that this feature could also be used to prevent cross-site tracking, etc, but I ssupect a large portion of users have a similar use case to mine as well.
I am using version 8.0.9 in Firefox 102.0.1 on Ubuntu 22.04.
Apologies if there are existing issues like this, but github's issue search is terrible and gives me a huge number of results.
