"Aways open in this container" data was cleared #2602

Open nchevobbe opened 7 months ago

nchevobbe commented 7 months ago

Before submitting a bug report

Step to reproduce

Open a website for which you previously set to open in a specific container (via the "Always open this site in…" )

Actual behavior

the websites that was previously opening with a custom container now opens without containers

Expected behavior

the websites should open in the custom containers I assigned them to

Additional informations

It feels like my "always open in this container" data was cleared not long ago (last update on the addon is October 26, 2023).

Debugging the addon storage, there wasn't any siteContainerMap* entry there, although I used it on a few sites I'm frequently visiting. I don't know if it's related, but the default containers (Banking, Shopping, …), which I removed in the past were re-added (but my custom ones are still there, so that's good)

Any idea what happened? Let me know if you need any additional information.

Provide a copy of Troubleshooting Information page (optional)

@nchevobbe Do you use Firefox Sync? Are you syncing profiles from different channels (release, nightly)?

I do use sync, and I think I might have used beta with a connected profile
