Implement dummy features in all clients for sample recipes #187

Rather than depending on some arbitrary existing features to include in the sample recipes so that they're meaningfully testable in clients, maybe we should implement some dummy features in the clients that can be referred to in the sample recipes so that they can be really tested in clients without depending on some feature which may change/be deprecated?
