When using the Android app, and signing in to Sync, the form is presented using the stock Chrome webview. If Firefox is installed, and Geckoview is available, it should be used, as I believe that then gives access to saved passwords. As it stands, you have to jump across to Firefox, find and copy the password, and then jump back.
[Affected versions]:
All.
[Prerequisites]:
Have your Firefox Sync password stored in your Firefox passwords.
[Steps to reproduce]:
Install the app
Follow sign-in flow
[Expected result]:
Saved password from Firefox is pre-populated into Sync sign-in form
[Actual result]:
Password is not populated, and you have to jump back and forth to get it in.
I have the same problem. I have confirmed that Firefox Beta is the default browser and that other apps can open custom tabs in Firefox Beta, so why can't the Notes app?
