Support for 2.x #1204

Hello,

I wanted to let you know that since it doesn't appear to be receiving updates for things like no longer passing "npm audit," the apostrophecms team is supporting Nunjucks 2.x and has published it as @apostrophecms/nunjucks, with an appropriately huge disclaimer that it is strictly a maintenance fork with no new features or behavior changes... just critical bug fixes and security updates.

We have every intention of using the latest Nunjucks in Apostrophe 3.x! We just have a different long-term-support lifecycle than the Nunjucks project appears to, so we're keeping 2.x warm and comfortable until Apostrophe 2.x ends its LTS in... yes... 2023.

Hope you don't mind the blast from the past!

Have you tried using it with nunjucks 3.x? I don't think the API has changed all that much…

The API hasn't but you fixed some variable visibility issues in ways that would be bc breaks.
