@digialitay we support IE 10 and up. Which version of IE were you on?
@threeqube I was using IE9 because on IE10 and IE11 we get "Sorry! An error occurred when trying to add the ... badge to your backpack. ". IE9 works when the user is already logged in to Backpack.
If you don't support IE, then this would be a real issue for me. I'm trying to convince a number of organisations and government bodies in Scotland to use OB, but they are all restricted to legacy IE browsers.
@digialitay that's odd that you got an error in IE10 and above. We'll look into that. Might you be able to provide us with a step by step of your user experience when using IE10 or 11? Any contextual screenshots will be very helpful as well.
Hopefully this should help:

Everything is fine on Chrome. Thanks for looking at this, I appreciate it.
This is related to #1002
It's been on the list to fix for a while. Will let you know when it's done.
@digialitay Hey Rob, can you check if this is still an issue since the BP update (8/12/16) and let us know if all is ok
@auralon close related to #1077 I presume
@mattdigitalme I think this may well still be an open issue. I'll have to test it with that configuration to find out.
Issue
Visitors using Internet Explorer (IE) have been unable to push badges to their backpack unless they are already logged in to their backpack.
Cause
The Mozilla Persona does not allow login via IE from the page https://backpack.openbadges.org/issuer/
It returns the following error message:
The visitor is unable to login and add the badge to their BackPack
Temporary solution
We have discovered that if the visitor is already signed in to their Mozilla backpack via the Mozilla Persona login at https://backpack.openbadges.org, which allows login via IE, then they will be able to push the badge successfully.
