INACTIVE - A series of experiments from Mozilla Labs focused on analyzing, experimenting and prototyping improvements on how you search and discover content with Firefox.
OS: Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
Firefox: 13 (beta)
In all browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera) I use on my Mac, three-finger swipe is used to go "back" or "forward" in page navigation. However, with Homedash, the three-finger swipe cycles through open tabs, in a same way as two-finger rotate gesture does.
This means I have two gestures: three-finger swipe and two finger rotate that do the same thing, but I've not figured a way to go back-forward using intuitive gestures.
In order that Homedash be consistent with original Firefox (and all other browser) behaviour, I'd suggest the three-finger swipe retain the back/forward navigation, while two-finger rotate remains what it is. Since swipe is easier than rotate, two-finger swipe could be used for cycling through tabs. The two-finger swipe right now does nothing.
