zuurr (on the community discord) suggested I migrate ncalexan/rust-android-gradle#36 against this repository. This isn't my work originally, but I have tested it. This could help with CI build times, and sidesteps the problem of %LOCALAPPDATA%\Temp being partially cleaned up on some machines.

Believe I've addressed everything, let me know if there's anything I've missed or more stuff that would be good to get done in this PR.

@MaulingMonkey thanks for bringing this PR across! I didn't create it here originally because at the time this repo looked like a read-only mirror. I'll open my subsequent PRs here instead 🙂
