Bug points are accidentally erased in scrumbugs whenever someone updates the Bugzilla whiteboard field such that p=X is appended or prefixed with a non-numeric character i.e.:

p=3 updated to p=3,[fixed-in-birch] shows as p=0 in scrumbugs
c= ,p=3 shows as p=0 in scrumbugs

Looks like the best way forward is to treat a comma as a separator along with a space.
