Add Voice Fill icon to Firefox search field #146

The search field besides the Awesomebar as well as the Awesomebar itself should have a symbol allowing you to use Voice Fill.

I almost always use those two UIs instead of the websites, so currently I can't profit much from Voice Fill.

Webextensions might be able to put an icon in the awesomebar, but not the search bar.

Let's investigate if this is possible or not

I'd like to point out that some users (myself included) remove the search box and just use the awesome bar for search.

This enhancement request has been outstanding for almost two years. I have recently discovered Voice Fill and would very much like to see it integrated into the Firefox Search/Address/(Awesome?) bar as that is my preferred search mechanism to access the DuckDuckGo search engine. On Android, when I use the voice search from the Firefox address bar, I get a warning that voice recognition is being served by Google. It is not clear what identity and/or other user data is being sent along with that request. What can be done to escalate the priority of this request?
