@vazquez - can you please clarify which template this is. Is it the one that Cassie and I had called "Header image with CTA and CTAs in a row"? (I'm looking at https://book.mozillafoundation.org/calypso.html)
That's correct @hannahkane. It's one of the more complex layouts we have; addressing this UI component in a higher fidelity will help inform Foxlight.
Cool. Thanks!
I made this prototype for us to see how colours impact the 3-column treatment. This prototype has the existing Foxlight work integrated.
http://vazquez.github.io/prototype-3-boxes/ (You can toggle colours in the top menu)
Based on this, let's discuss whether or not we should allow the 3 column box to have a default grey colour at all times, or a background colour based on the page's main colour.
The colours that I feel so far aren't working as background (even with a very light tint applied to them) are:
The colours that work nicely are:
The colour that I'm on the fence about:
Awesome, thanks @vazquez - I'll incorporate this into the Foxlight template tester thing!
Should this be in the Foxlite repo? Wondering if I've just duped it with https://github.com/mozilla/foxlight/issues/36
@hannahkane In the interim, we're not really sure where the right place will be. For now we just want to have these templates live in one place so we can see their styles all together and pulling from Foxlight, it might be a totally different repo.
Eventually, we'll incorporate them into the repo that makes more sense (either Foxlight or Calypso)
ok, @flukeout @vazquez - where would you prefer tickets live for finalizing layout designs? I put four in the Foxlight repo. We'll talk at the planning meeting, but hoping a deliverable for the next heartbeat can be finalizing those four designs.
@hannahkane There is fine - thanks for filing them. We were debating between Calypso and Foxlight, but now that they're there, let's keep them there.
k. thx. sorry for being confusing! :)
This will be the third template type we'll test Foxlight with initially. Currently it only exists as "UI Tile" but we need more details in order to bring it to life.
