Closed DOMIHERNANDEZ closed 9 years ago

DOMIHERNANDEZ commented 9 years ago

Refresh OpenWapp logo with color concepts Firefox OS, also adapting it to the color of the header of the app, and following the trend of Flat Design..... In input mode, I made two logo similar to the above description, do not you think that the difference of the other is the color of the tick, Greetings..... logoopenwappgreenbl

willyaranda commented 9 years ago

I prefer the second one, but I don't know if in lower resolutions (16x16 or 32x32), it will show a difference on colors. Could you try and attach a 16x16 or 32px logo?

Thanks @DOMIHERNANDEZ

DOMIHERNANDEZ commented 9 years ago

In my equal I like the second ........ yeah I enclose 16 and 32px, nothing ......Greetings logoopenwapp32 logoopenwapp16 If you want it a little more low opacity to primary tick ..... Regards

willyaranda commented 9 years ago

Gracias!

DOMIHERNANDEZ commented 9 years ago

Hello Will if I send my proposal clearly better and I think they will be able to generate that icon that size without it look blurry, instead of retouching. Generated questions as you had the icon with Photoshop or Illustrator or Gimp .... greetings ......

Try to keep conversations here in English to allow more people to chime in and help :P

DOMIHERNANDEZ commented 9 years ago

Thank you very much for integrating Ruben .... greetings

willyaranda commented 9 years ago

@DOMIHERNANDEZ we did not create the icon. I will try to get in touch with original developers and ask about it.

DOMIHERNANDEZ commented 9 years ago

Yeah, that would be great, you inform me willi .... greetings

How I can Help?

DOMIHERNANDEZ commented 9 years ago

Look at will, when the icon is already in the OS, does not look so blurry, it is clear .... 2014-11-08-20-47-44

DOMIHERNANDEZ commented 9 years ago

Hi Victor, thanks ..... I uploaded is a freshened for OpenWapp icon size 16x16 but looks very blurry, and they told me to send him to give him a touch ..... but climbed a screenshot of icon in the app already running and I think it does not look blurry ..... but if I agree with the principle that this fuzzy ..... greetings 2014-11-08-20-47-44

VictorOsorioMedrano commented 9 years ago

The icon looks good for me and resolves the issue #11 ¡Great!

VictorOsorioMedrano commented 9 years ago

Although it would be nice to make it more flat

DOMIHERNANDEZ commented 9 years ago

Victor thank you very much ...... good that you like it ....... so is it flatter ... It's issue # 11 if you return to install the app, this bug disappears and the notification icon appears normal .....

willyaranda commented 9 years ago

@DOMIHERNANDEZ oh, ok! I will test this PR on my phone and I will comment things as I see it to merge as soon as possible.

Thanks!!

DOMIHERNANDEZ commented 9 years ago

Ok, Will, thank you so much okay as control the sizes of icons for email, greetings ..........

FabianOvrWrt commented 9 years ago

@VictorOsorioMedrano asked me to make an icon, but I already had one. I didn't noticed that you were about to redesign the app, so here is my icon.

Very clean, with a single gradient on the logo (255 to 232).

openwapp

I can make any size of this, because I work with vector graphics.

VictorOsorioMedrano commented 9 years ago

Great job! @FabianOvrWrt Your icon is best

nukeador commented 9 years ago

@FabianOvrWrt is it possible to have the editable one? That way we would be able to generate any size in the future.

DOMIHERNANDEZ commented 9 years ago

Fabian Good work ... I really like the icon, shape, and color ticks supergenial this is better than mine ... I hope soon put it, not much esque vectors to work with ..... regards

willyaranda commented 9 years ago

@FabianOvrWrt thanks!

Could you generate:

(just paste here the image, and send me the SVG, please)

FabianOvrWrt commented 9 years ago

@willyaranda I made also 84x84 and 284x284, because those are the "new" default sizes for small and large app icon on 2.0+ I would suggest not using 512x512 on the app when it's published, because some people use the option for removing app screenshots from the card view in 2.0+ and an icon with that size looks ugly.

16 32 48 60 64 84 90 128 256 284 512

FabianOvrWrt commented 9 years ago

More aclarations, for the small icons (32x32 and 16x16) I removed the inner part of the icon, so the app icon is recognizable even on those small sizes.

willyaranda commented 9 years ago

@fabianovrwrt thanks!! I will update them once we have the UX branch merged back into master. thanks!

VictorOsorioMedrano commented 9 years ago

Yes! @FabianOvrWrt 512x512 on the app looks really ugly

willyaranda commented 9 years ago

I just committed the changes in https://github.com/mozillahispano/openwapp/commit/1b367bc3b4781a3e5a573350fd75453e75b132ce

It's on the UX branch, I will wait to test https://github.com/mozillahispano/openwapp/pull/18 and merge everything to master.

Thanks @FabianOvrWrt

DOMIHERNANDEZ commented 9 years ago

That seems very good super that new logo

FabianOvrWrt commented 9 years ago

@willyaranda again, I suggest to remove the 512px icon. Looks bad, not only on 2.0+, but on 1.3, because when you open the app there's an open transition were the biggest icon fades in and 512 it's just to big to fit the HVGA screens that most of the phones use.

Here's an example:

512 icon: fade-in-512

284 icon: fade-in-284

FabianOvrWrt commented 9 years ago

Also, you should remove 30px icon on UX branch. I think it's pretty useless to have it at this point.

VictorOsorioMedrano commented 9 years ago

@willyaranda @FabianOvrWrt Yes, I think the same, the icon of 512x512 looks really bad.
