File too small #5

Open FreeMeWat opened 10 months ago

FreeMeWat commented 10 months ago

Could you help me with this? Reverted fw on the bg210 and successfully extracted all files except mfg dat file keeps returning "file too small" in the script. I repeated this dozens oftimes. The hosts file printed. How can I fix? Tysm

Additionally, when it fails like this, do I just leave the script running and keep unplugging/unplugging until something happens? I've been trying for hours.

tehdango commented 9 months ago

yes let the script run and keep unplugging it. It may even download successfully but still be corrupted. I had to do this several times to get the first one that didnt work then a handful of times and the second download was good.

@FreeMeWat just kept unplugging and replugging? How long did it eventually take yah you think?

FreeMeWat commented 9 months ago

It didn't take long at all once i started doing it right, but you have to let it boot up so wait 2 minutes before unplugging it. Just keep cycling every 2 min.

Plug in, let it run. If it fails after two minutes, restart

Does this work on modem firmware 2.4.4 ? I've rebooted a dozen times now. No luck.

FreeMeWat commented 5 months ago

I didnt upgrade the firmware on my device when I did it, but you need to wait several minutes between each reboot. I would wait 2 min per reboot.
