7 years ago I had the same issue on another project - was using gradle wrapper 3.3, switched to 2.14 and it cleared the issue.

7 years ago I had the same issue on another project - was using gradle wrapper 3.3, switched to 2.14 and it cleared the issue.
I am having gradle 3.4.1 & Java 1.8 on windows 10 OS. When I run 'gradle bootRun' command on console, I get the following error: C:\Users\kulkarni_an\Downloads\spring-boot-websocket-stomp-server-send-example-master>gradle bootRun -stacktrace :compileJava FAILED
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
What went wrong: java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException (no error message)
Try: Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output.
Exception is: java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException at org.springframework.boot.gradle.exclude.ApplyExcludeRules.addImplicitExcludeRules(ApplyExcludeRules.java:102)
