Stereographic projection #52

Would it be possible to incorporate a stereographic projection mode to the viewer? It would add great "WOW" -effect to the viewing, when zooming out so much that a "little planet" effect would be seen. I'm not that great with maths, so better leave it to someone who can. For example Ricoh Theta viewer has this function: https://theta360.com/en/gallery/

I might add more projections at some point, just not anytime soon. It requires writing new WebGL shaders, which is rather involved.

I would love to see this as well.

I'm a bit jealous that I can't recreate this effect form the Theta360 gallery on my own website :).

Any progress on this? Google Cardboard viewing would be amazing!

This has nothing to do with Google Cardboard. Regardless, I haven't worked on either recently.
