Add primary DNA sequencies to the gene page #128

Feedback from user looking for information on PCR genotyping. Asked for primary sequencies, PCR conditions and confirmation on whehter sequencing had been done as part of validation prior to phenotyping.

The information is there already, it's just collapsed into the product page table (see screenshot).

How can we make this easier to find?

viomunoz commented 5 years ago

One possibility to make the information more findable would be to have a explanaroty box of the sort "Click on QC data to find XXX". However, it looks like the maximum amount of information we may provide is the following:

For the information to be useful, we would need to explain what each procedure is testing. The user is asking for the experimental details on how to perform the genotyping (primer sequences and PCR conditions) and output. This information is not available on iMits.

The link is this one: https://www.mousephenotype.org/data/genes/MGI:1924076#order

In the QC data page "MEKK" is shown, rather than the gene name "Nubpl".

jmason-ebi commented 5 years ago

The colony is displayed because this is the QC information for one (of potentially many) products for a gene. We need to add more information (Gene symbol, etc.) to the header and/or breadcrumbs.

Discussed internally. Would be best to direct users to the centers for more specific details when asked. We should put together a documentation a page listing the tests and some details.
