VLC as a player for YouTube #122

As in the subject - it would improve significantly performace if it would 
be possible to emply VLC as the player for YoutTube content. What would 
you say?

For most YouTube videos it would not be possible to directly download or stream 
the
video without falling afoul of their terms of service. Only some videos provide 
the
download link, which YouTube requires to direct access to the video.

Sorry for the English in my first message... Anyway, I have PPC Mac mini 1.42 
Ghz and 
it handles youtube content really well in the VLC (even when playing the so 
called HD 
movies). After upgrading to Flash 10 - it also handles well in the full screen 
mode 
when played directly from the website. But I didn't notice any improvement in  
understudy. Does the embedded flash player uses different Flash??? Seems really 
unlikely...
