I have the same problem started happening after an Apple Update

Front row: 2.2.1 (314)
Hulu Desktop: Host Version .0.9.8.2 SWF Version: 0.9.13.1

Desktop starts up and can navigate, but once choose play everything disappears
and Front Row eventually comes back.... SWF?

I'm having the same issue as well. I can't remember when it started but like
Mark I think it was after an Apple Update. I've attached the crash report.

Front Row:2.2.1
Hulu Desktop: 0.9.8.2

I did not see any logs in CrashReporter. I can start and run Hulu fine outside
of Front Row and Understudy.

Front Row: 2.2.1
Hulu Desktop: 0.9.8.2
  SWF Version: 0.9.13.1

The crash report attached to comment to is Front Row (not Hulu Desktop player)
dying. I'm wondering if there may be two different issues here, so I'd like to
make sure we're all on the same page:

1) Everyone is using the Hulu Desktop player and not Understudy's internal hulu
player / queue.
2) The Hulu Desktop player itself if crashing (but there are no crash reports
for it)

Not sure what you mean by Understudy's hulu player / queue, but here is my
scenario, hopefully more detailed.

- I bring up Front Row, select Understudy, select Hulu Desktop Player
- Hulu Desktop starts fine with a video running per usual
- I go to select another show which causes Hulu Desktop Player to disappear,
aka crashes (no error report or anything though)
- However, once Hulu disappears, Front Row reappears as if Understudy detected
that it was gone.

If I start and use Hulu Desktop Player without Understudy (launch from
applications) I have no problem playing shows.

Just installed this program. i think it's awesome. but, hulu desktop crashes
when trying to start a new video from my queue. you can start the video from
hulu desktop itself and then quit. go into understudy and it will let you
continue watching from that spot, but you can't start a new one.
if i try to use the built in queue in understudy for hulu i have a blank
screen.
Thanks for this program.

I am having the same problem. Hulu crashes within understudy when trying to
play new video. Thanks devs!

The way Understudy launches external applications has been changed. You may
need to create a new launcher for Hulu Desktop (Understudy doesn't assume you
want it).
