Thanks for reporting this. Clearly, I'm not in Canada, so I'm going to need a
bit of help figuring out what's going on.

If you're in Canada and go to http://netflix.com, are you automatically
redirected to netflix.ca ?

Could you be more specific about what steps reproduce the problem? When you say
you "try to use Netflix" do you mean that you're in the process of adding a
queue to Understudy, or loading a queue, or loading a particular video?

When the crash occurs, is there a fade or transition, or does it cut straight
from Front Row to the desktop? If Front Row crashed there should be a crash
report. Please attach it.

On the netflix.com site, at the bottom of the page (when you're logged in)
there is a link to "RSS Feeds". On that page there should be a number of links,
but the two that relate to Understudy are the "Queue to watch instantly" and
"New choices to watch instantly". Please post the corresponding URL's (you may
want to cut out the unique part of the Queue URL.

Thanks again.

I tried to get "Understudy" running from Canada as well. The Canadian URL is
ca.netflix.com or sometimes ca.movies.netflix.com. I tried changing the plist
url's by just adding ca. to the orig entries with no luck. When I try loading
the modified url in Safari I get an error trap
"http://ca.netflix.com/entryTrap.jsp?why=shopSessDOS" (cookies are enabled). I
also tried changing http to feed with no luck either.
I have lots of time on my hands these days so if you would like me to try
anything else just let me know.

Just some further testing. the url "http://ca.netflix.com/NewWatchInstantlyRSS"
works fine in Firefox 4. Safari 5.0.5 gives me the error and will not load the
page (re-direct to the url in my previous post). It looks like it may have to
do with CSP and/or lastpass (java debug(I don't know much java, so it's a
guess)). I will try removing the lastpass extension and see if that makes a
difference.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still trying to narrow down exactly where the
crash might be occurring. I'm assuming that somewhere Understudy is expecting a
netflix.com address but has been redirected to .ca. If there's a crash
occurring, having the crash log would be really helpful.

It looks like the URLs themselves don't make too much of a difference (I can go
to netflix.ca, select a movie to watch, and it will load it under a .com
address and play).

Understudy is crashing for me when I try to watch something from netflix.ca. I
tried looking for a Crash Log, but couldn't find one in Console, nor any
messages related to Understudy. I looked in the plugin directory too, nothing
to see.

I am able to access the URLs mentioned above with Safari 5.1 without an error.

If there's anything else I can provide, or test please let me know.

Thanks.

~Shawn

Any news about adding support for Netflix Canada to the understudy Front Row
plugin?

Bulk reassignment of open understudy issues that were owned by the wrong
account.
