Is there something that leads you to believe that Understudy is causing the
problem?
The crash report attached on Comment #2 doesn't really suggest that it is.
Try uninstalling Understudy (instructions are in the wiki) and report whether it
seems to matter.

It only happened with Understudy installed.
Uninstalling Understudy doesn't help.
At the time I submitted the crash report, Understudy had been fully removed.
I had to reinstall the OS.
Now it's up to date, and seems to work fine.
The only non standard thing I had with this computer was Perian, but I've been
using
it for months on other machines.
Don't know if it helps, but this is a 1 week old Mac mini with the default
installation stuff + Perian.
I'll wait until I've imaged the drive before reinstalling Understudy.
Don't get me wrong. I REALLY love the idea of what you're doing. Understudy
was one
of the reasons I got rid of my Xbox360 and didn't buy an AppleTV. Now, if we
could
get some fastforward/remind action going...

Oh, and NOTHING will force quit the Front Row process once it's going.
Plus, once Front Row is launched, it goes to Front Row, can't navigate, back to
Finder, can't do anything other than mouse around, then the screen blackens
quickly
and then back to the Finder.
It did this until I pulled the plug and restarted.

I just want add my voice to those suffering from this problem, I have two of
the latest generation of mac minis,
after the recent front row update the one with understudy gets frozen on a
black screen with only a cursor as
mentioned above. Help would be greatly appreciated as I miss me some
understudy! Thanks.

Is this a problem with more recent versions on Understudy?
