Flicker if using PVR #48

Open Siutsch opened 7 years ago

Tried your addon. It works for music (milkdrop) and movies, but if I use PVR (DVBLink), the screen is flickering extremely.

Do you already know of this problem?

Hello there, Your issue lacks a bit details, could you add a bit more such as which kodi versions / hue plugin version / dvblink versions, what platforms (arm/x86/win-lin-android?).
I don't know if logs would help but the more the better :)

Hi. I use the latest Kodi 17.1 but I had the same problem with older version (tested the addon some time ago from michaelrcarroll. The Hue plugin version ist your version from here. DVBLink is the version which is included in Kodi (3.4.2).

I use Kodi with Windows10 x64 at a ZBOX ID92 (Intel i5 Proz. with Intel 4600 grafik).

The problem only occure if using LiveTV.

If I can help with additional infos (photo of the screen, etc.) then I will.

Thanks for help.

Hello,
I'm just trying to help where I can, I'm not the plugin author nor maintainer, just a modest contributor ;)

Anyway, I remember liveTV worked properly for me but I was using "iptv simple" and online channels (my ISP provides a .m3u playlist) so your problem looks like a conflict between the hue plugin and dvblink.

May I ask you to test if the bug also happens with another liveTV source ? (like another plugin) It might also be a good thing to open an issue here : https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.dvblink/issues As they might know what is causing this and/or have good suggestions.

Unfortunately I myself don't have anything LiveTV capable, thanks @Moyster for the tips provided. Leaving this open - maybe someone will figure out the root cause.

I also have the problem while watching Live-TV. I'm using latest Kodi 17.4 with your version (downloaded yesterday). Kodi is using TVHeadend as PVR. Movies are working like a charm but Live TV is like a stroboscobe Green/Image/Green/Image. Until this issue could be resolved: Maybe you can add a "disable for Live TV"-Option?

I also had this problem, i found this on the kodi forum: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=222245 Both solutions mentioned there work. Now i have interlacing turned off for all videos. No more green flicker.

Same issue here. Picture is jerky when v1.0 plugin is enabled. But v0.82b works fine here. I am just using theatre mode, so from now i am using the old version.
