not that easy to 'look into' your logfiles if you dont provide any
I think he/she didn't ask to look into his/her logfiles, he/she was just quoting the error that kodi hue is displaying "error, please check logfiles". I'm facing the same issue, did a reinstall of my android tv xiaomi mibox 3, kodi hue was working before, now it doesn't, that the only extension I installed. Bridge is detected, configured, light bulbs are checked, but still error and does nothing. Managed to get a log : http://ix.io/L5A
Edit : I remember there was a hue bridge update a few days ago, maybe related ... Edit 2 : After a few research, it may be related to a French accent "é" in the name of a new bulb I wanted to use, will dig further, so my problem may not be the same as OP.
After changing all lamp names with special characters like newkindofworld hinted everything works fine! Thanks
Hey together,
I installed the request and kodi.hue.ambilight script on a fresh installed Kodi 17.6. The HueBridge is successfully connected and I activated my LightStripes in the Ambilight setting. Also deactivated Hardware Acclearation MediaCodec (Surface). Than restarted Kodi but the Lights are not changeing. Did I forgot something to configure? I am using the PVR Engima2 Client and stream the content over my dreambox.
EDIT: After checking the Ambilight settings again, I saw that the Lights were not active anymore. Activated again and it works for a short time. Than I restartet Kodi to check if the Lights are still active but after the restart of Kodi I received the info Kodi HUE connected and than Kodi Philips HUE error please have a look into the logfiles.
Would be thankful for any hint. Best regards
