Some videos won't start with mpv even though it seems like they would #1012

Some videos start loading, but in the end mpv doesn't open and play the video.

I tried reinstalling the latest versions of mpv, mps-youtube an youtube-dl using homebrewand pip3- nothing changed.

I am also running into this with certain videos. Here is a video URL that exhibits this for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0D9nJIzNVTY

If I change the player to mplayer or vlc, the player comes up briefly, then exits.
