feature request: human readable config file #768

That would make it more convenient to put the config under version control.

TBH I'm a bit surprised no one has requested this before, or at least I couldn't find it.

I don't think there's a specific issue for this, but it was mentioned in https://github.com/mps-youtube/mps-youtube/issues/112.

It would be also nice to have a way to load/save config file from: a) command line (command line swithch tol load config file) b) from within mps-youtube (commands to load and save config cl filename, cs filename)

This is quite an essential feature. A lot of the type of users that use software like this, would manage there configs in git. So this would help a lot of the users.

Hope it can get implemented soonish :grimacing:

completely agree, makes it much easier to manage and version dotfiles
