having an issue with vehicle situation

The actual set zooming out seems to be working fine, and for a second as soon as I leave the vehicle it'll quickly zoom back in to my saved zoom setting when I'm not in a situation (exiting the situation) - but then after a moment it suddenly zooms all the way back out and I have to reset my normal zoom all over again.

I have no idea what's causing this, I've tried everything I can think of - turning off and on "override standard settings" (didn't work), resetting the set zoom level when entering the situation and then re-entering the value (didn't work), changing the priority (didn't work), changing the restore zoom option from always to adaptive (neither worked), and I'm just all out of options on what to do about this

Every other situation has been working just fine, but this one is driving me crazy - it's specifically on Meerah's caravan ride during the "The Warguard's Trail" quest. I'm not sure if it's happening for any other vehicle situation but this one is where I'm getting the issue.

For more context, my usual zoom setting when I'm just running around on my character seems to be 5.36 according to the /zi command, and the set zoom I have for Vehicles is 13 - previously 10. I can't remember if Vehicles were ever working in the past for me, but I know that I changed the setting from 10 to 13 because 10 didn't seem to be zoomed out enough for the caravan ride.

actually, changing the restore zoom option to "Never" for some reason worked??? it works the exact opposite for everything else so I have no idea why that works but it does! ig this is fixed for the moment xD

Thanks for reporting. If you could find a vehicle that is not just available during certain quests to reproduce this, I could look into this.

I'll update this post if I end up running into the issue again with other vehicles, if that's okay for me to do that is!

all right! so it looks like it's happening with other vehicles as well, it seemed to happen with a flying creature that counted as a Vehicle (past the parts where you ride Meerah's caravan, but I don't remember the exact quest), and it just happened as well with 'Old Rotana' (a direhorn npc) during the 'Bulwark of Torcali' quest

Selecting 'Never' on restore zoom though hasn't been very effective as it won't restore the zoom for all the other situations if I pick that, unfortunately it actually seems like selecting 'Never' isn't working anymore either

Thank you very much. Ideally there would be a mount that is not quest-dependent. But so far you have only found any that are?

Apologies for the late response! I think so far the only ones that were having this issue were quest-dependent ones, but I'm not sure if I've been using any Vehicles lately- mostly just flight taxis since I switched back to Dragonflight content

Actually, I just tried the "Cataloger's Raft" vehicle in the Picture Perfect quest (one of the Dragonscale Expedition quests in the Dragon Isles) and I didn't have any issues! Maybe it's just in older content where I've been having the issue?
