I also tried on MacOS 10.15.7 with clang(Apple clang version 11.0.0 (clang-1100.0.33.8)), got the same problem. So I wonder if I compiled libmpv in the wrong way?
works for me (i don't use mpv-build). my guess is that it can't find for example libass because it's not installed globally but only in your mpv-build root. you need to point it to it.
also that example doesn't run on macOS anyway #40

I already copied the libass to my library path...
i don't think this will just work like this. to get rid of the swift errors for testing (that is probably only one part of your problem but the source is most likely the same as with the other references) you can use --disable-swift
. it's not necessary for libmpv for now. you should most likely see other errors then. if you have trouble with building via mpv-build you should report it there. since this is not a problem with the example itself, but rather a problem with the lib root of those dependencies.
@Akemi Thanks very much for your reply~
I'm on MacOS 11.0.1 using clang(Apple clang version 12.0.0 (clang-1200.0.32.27))
building libmpv by:
and compile simple.c
then I got (the error is too long that some lines hided by terminal):
