On my MacBookPro18,2 under macOS Ventura 13.2.1 using Xcode 14.1 I built mpv using mpv-build configured to build mpv and FFmpeg from their master branches. I then played the file as shown here:
Playback using the stolendata build also exhibited the same behavior.
Note that VLC is not entirely happy playing this video. If I paused playback and moved the slider knob backwards the VLC window disappeared.
