Your setting of screenshot-template="%tY-%tm-%td_%tH-%tM-%tS" belongs in a mpv.conf file not on the Exec= line of mpv.desktop. Both settings should be in that file (without the --

I created the config file in here:
/home/jib/.mpv/mpv.conf
And one thing I learnt, instead of inserting the 2nd command on the same line, it should be inserted on new line. Otherwise there will be an error:

When screenshoting from any video, screenshot-template did not work when trying to specify the current local date/time using %tX.
Here is the configuration file in /.local/share/applications/mpv.desktop:
mpv --screenshot-format=png --screenshot-template=%tY-%tm-%td_%tH-%tM-%tS -- %U
Expected result:
2020-10-10_14-45-33.png
Real result:
Y-m-d_H-M-S.png
It is also worth noting when starting MPV from terminal using the same command work
mpv --screenshot-template=%tY-%tm-%td_%tH-%tM-%tS /some/video.mp4
Putting " inside the string did not help either:
