Numeric grid values have become left aligned in DemoGrids #216

In DemoGrids, the numeric values in the main grid have become left aligned. They used to be (correctly) right aligned, as can be seen in this old screen shot:

Text is now properly horizontally aligned, but a bit too high in the grid cells. It should be closer to the base line than the top, or at least in the centre.
