| Description | Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (MRM) together with the ISMRM Reproducible Research Study Group (RRSG) is going to run a trial with code review as a service to authors that submit code with their articles. For now, the scope of this review will be limited to checking practical aspects of the shared code such as that it exists where the authors say it will be, that it has sufficient instructions to run, and runs as intended. Scientific accuracy is not included in the scope of this review. For this trial to be a success, we need clear guidelines for authors so they know what to expect from such a review, and similarly, we need guidelines for the reviewers with clear criteria of pass/fail. The aim of this project is to draft guideline documents for MRM and build any tools needed to make code review a smooth process for both authors, reviewers, and editors. |
