Apply Metadata from a ComicRack Database (ComicDB.xml) #43

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.ComicRack won't write ComicInfo.xml to CBZs on my NTFS shares on my linux
file server. Issue has to do with Alternate Streams I believe.
2.ComicTagger will.
3.So, either include a function in ComicTagger to read a ComicDB.xml and apply
contained metadata to referenced files or provide a script that accomplishes
the same goal (To be posted on ComicRack forum).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
ComicTagger v1.1.10b x32
ComicRack v0.9.175 x64

This sounds like it might be a permission issue.

Also, I don't really know anything about alternate streams on NTFS, but I can
tell you that even though the drive on the linux share is NTFS, when it's
mounted across the network as a Windows Share, I don't think the Windows system
that's mounting it sees it at NTFS.

Either way, this is not something I plan to add to the app. I may however,
look into and add-on script that may do this someday.
