[bgo#690885] Inconsistent terms: "message" and "string" #53

Guide uses inconsistently terms "message" and "string". Eg.: "View Message Details" "Move one string down"

App is in the process of being redesigned and we will check for consistency in user interface. As soon as the new design is implemented, I will update and correct all the occurrences of "message" into "string".

Personally, I don't quite care but GNU Gettext uses term "message".

It might be worth discussing, but I would argue that the term "message" is too broad and might be confusing, and that "string" is something any developer and translator/localizer understands immediately even if they newer worked with Gettext files.

In my experience, unless the PO file is corrupted, translators usually open it with Gtranslator or similar programs, and only rarely with text editors where they can see that string is called "message", and referred as msgid and msgstr.

Gtranslator's interface also displays related inconsistencies like "Original Message" vs. "Translated Text" in one panel, and "Original Message" vs. "Translated Message" in another. So if we decide to stick with "message" (solution with which I am not particularly satisfied), at least we should check for consistency throughout the interface.

IMHO, labels like "Message Table" or menu options like "Copy Message to Translation" sound strange and provoke more questions than clear ideas about what they represent and what are they supposed to do, especially for collaborators who never worked with PO files before.
