Errors upon opening #332

Closed jnman078 closed 2 years ago

jnman078 commented 2 years ago

When I open Minutor, I get this error message...

Failed to add Block from definition file, as it might be a duplicate or generates the same hash as an already existing Block.

...that keeps reappearing when I try to close it. Only by trying to quit Minutor does Minutor start up properly and the error messages stop.

Has anybody else had this problem?

I'm using macOS 12.5.1 on a 2019 MacBook Pro, by the way.

I seem to have fixed it.

After reading a tip I found here, I went to the directory ~/Library/Application Support/seancode/Minutor/ and deleted the seancode folder.

No idea why you link something on bytemeta.vip which is just stealing data from here? The thread you mentioned is just here on GitHub in exactly this repository: #155

And yes, that solution should help. But more recent versions of Minutor should be able to heal that state automatically! What version did you use? Did you mix versions on that day? Always try to use the latest release, Minutor is backwards compatible.
