FYI, deb packages are now support in 14.04 -> http://www.graylog2.org/resources/documentation/general/packages
tyx :)
deb packtage not working i have tried to install it, but we need to install first some program before grayog2
can u please update the script ? with last version ?
Yes, I said "tyx" but then when I tried to install those the Graylog is stil in 0.20.3 version. Anybody have any ideas?
well what procedure do u use to install please ?
Well, I am running it on Ubuntu 14.04
I used the procedure for Ubuntu 14.04 on this link: http://www.graylog2.org/resources/documentation/general/packages
Everything goes fine and without errors, but after the installation it feels that I just re-installed the same packages again.
EDIT1: Oh.. and one more thing I forgot.. If I try to install those packages again (the second time) it gives me just a console message that the graylog2-server and the graylog2-web are at the newest version..
Something ain't right.. I am thinking of re-installing everything again, but first i have to find a way to migrate the database with the messages..
for me i used the ubuntu script here :+1: and that's work but with the old version :
well i will use this version
because i really not understand how install the new release
would be willing to pay for an updated script with 0.90.0
@All - I will try to get a new script together for a fresh install initially with the latest version here in the next few days. @ckerstner - You got my attention with willing to pay! :) LOL
@mrlesmithjr @all I got it working but man was a pain... had to use your script to get elasticsearch/mongodb/java setup properly, then install graylog2 from here http://www.graylog2.org/resources/documentation/general/packages
stop .20 from starting, then getting .90 to start then updating the configs and getting things to start on reboot.
I followed about 10 other tutorials to install .90 standalone... but could never get it to work, the only way it happened was running your beautiful script first then installing .90.
Thank you!
There is a new update for the server released at 09/23/2014. Update of the script is needed.
I already tried to change the lines 47 and 48 to get the latest version but the update ended with an error:
./graylog2/Upgrade_Scripts/Graylog2_Appliance_Upgrade.sh: line 67: cd: graylog2-server/: No such file or directory
Thank you :)
