feature request: accessing recordings on the SD card #872

At the moment it seems only possible to view the live camera feed

Are there any plans to add functionality for accessing the recordings stored on the camera itself?

In the meanwhile, could anyone suggest a good way for downloading the camera recordings in HD quality, besides for physically removing the SD card itself?

I second this! I'm looking for the same. I plan on using a V3 as a dashcam and having videos moved via script everytime the camera comes within wifi range.

This was possible on older firmware, but wyze patched it as it was considered security issue.

I'm still looking into alternate ways to access the SD card.

Is that a possibility via the Tutk protocol? The way the app works is strictly limited to a stream based approach at the real video playback rate, or the protocol provides regular file handling operations (open, seek, close, etc)?

They appear to have received several complaints of nervous/anxious users regarding the existence of this feature, causing them to disable it.
