problem ncbi plugin #59

Hi after installing Fast-Plast anew (no error warning during installation), I am getting this - ncbi blastn plugin not found(?). Any suggestions? thanks

Hi Jorge,

The path for blast is not correct. The path is describe at the beginning of the fast-plast.pl file. Did you install blast with the program or use a version that was already available on your system?

Hi Michael I just run the INSTALL script as suggested. Blast was downloaded by the script automatically, I guess it is the latest version. thanks, Jorge

Hi Jorge,

I updated the INSTALL script to BLAST+ 2.14.1, but I do not think that was the issue. I did a clean install and blast seems fine. You can try to reinstall, but I would make sure you have write permissions. I would also look at the bin where Fast-Plast installs scripts to see what is being installed.

Hi Michael Thanks. Will try installing again. I do have all permissions. Here's what is in bin. GenBank Plastomes seems to be not properly installed. Best, Jorge

Hi Jorge,

When the Genbank Plastomes database is not made properly, it is usually because the user cannot write to that directory.
