Label from QR code scan disappears on screen rotate #193

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Access the "Send Bitcoins" function
2. Scan a QR code that contains a bitcoin: URL with a label field
3. Rotate the device from landscape to portrait or vice versa

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect the label read from the QR code displayed in the "Pay to" field still
to be present. It isn't: it says "(unlabeled)". Furthermore, the orange bar
with the "add address" button on it has appeared at the top of the screen.

What version of Bitcoin Wallet are you using? On what Android version and
what phone? Don't just state 'most recent', this is not enough info.

Version 3.09 on Android 4.2.2 on a Galaxy Nexus.

In the Version 3.10 Testnet3 wallet, the label field has disappeared
completely. This isn't an improvement!

Please provide any additional information below.

I run a number of pubs that accept Bitcoin over the counter. The POS system
produces a QR code for the customer to scan; this includes the address (a
one-time address per transaction), amount, and a label describing the
transaction. It would be very helpful if the wallet could store this label in
the transaction log without adding the address to the "Sending addresses" in
the address book (since it will never be re-used).

I could reproduce your problem and am working on it.

Regarding your feature suggestion, can you file a separate issue?
