Transaction stuck - "This payment should become spendable in a few minutes" #245

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Received a payment that appear to be stuck.
2.This is the first time I've had the problem.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I was receiving a bitcoin payment and now for 3 hours it's been saying "This
payment should become spendable in a few minutes". The transaction is greyed
out.

What version of Bitcoin Wallet are you using? On what Android version and
what phone? Don't just state 'most recent', this is not enough info.
When you search "Bitcoin Wallet" in the Google Play store it's the first one to
come up. On the app page it says "Bitcoin Wallet Andreas Schildbach v3.22" I am
using Android version 4.2.2 on a Galaxy S4.

If you have problems with particular transactions, what is your Bitcoin
address? If you happen to have transaction IDs, please state them as well.
My address is 12PHPeA8CGoWqKN6ddnJaW9SQNrtom5PqN .. I was emailed a link to the
transaction once the transaction was sent. I wasn't sure if I should post it
here or not.

Please provide any additional information below.

This is most likely because the sender did not pay any/enough fee. I cannot do
anything about this. Just wait for several hours/days until you transaction
gets confirmed. Ask the sender to pay at least the minimum fee next time!

escribano1976: Check blockexplorer if the tx has already been confirmed.

If yes, its a bug if an earlier version of the app. Reset the blockchain ONLY
in this case. After catching up, the tx should be confirmed and you can spend
the coins.

If no, did he pay a fee? If not, wait (days... weeks...). Don't reset the
chain, as this will potentially remove your transaction from the network.
