I'm not sure if this is the right place to post a feature request but given the known security problems of EncFS and broad availability of gocryptfs-like implementations, it would be very welcome to see support for this style of encryption (GCM encryption file contents, EME wide-block encryption for file names with a per-directory IV) in EncDroid, especially as there is currently no way of accessing gocryptfs/cppcryptfs encrypted files from an Android device short of using a custom CLI gocryptfs build on a rooted device.
Gocryptfs also seems to be quite a bit faster than EncFS when using a comparable level of security.
Hi there,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post a feature request but given the known security problems of EncFS and broad availability of gocryptfs-like implementations, it would be very welcome to see support for this style of encryption (GCM encryption file contents, EME wide-block encryption for file names with a per-directory IV) in EncDroid, especially as there is currently no way of accessing gocryptfs/cppcryptfs encrypted files from an Android device short of using a custom CLI gocryptfs build on a rooted device.
Gocryptfs also seems to be quite a bit faster than EncFS when using a comparable level of security.
