Okay, I think I found a workaround. On MrPiracy site I created an account for my kids. I then proceeded to tick as favorite all the movies and tv shows that my kids are allowed to watch. I did that on MrPiracy's website. Then I created a Kodi profile just for my kids and I password protected the master profile. I installed only MrPiracy and Youtube addons. On my kids Kodi profile I setup MrPiracy addon's Favorites Films and Favorites TV Shows as Kodi's Favorites and I proceeded to lock all options with a password so that they can't touch on any Kodi's settings. Finally, I disabled all main menu items except for Favorites. Now when they open their profile, they only see Favorites and inside that they only have MrPiracy favorite Films and favorite TV Shows. I still have to go to MrPiracy website once a week to add a new kids movie as a favorite so that it starts showing up on my kid's Kodi profile but at least now I have some peace of mind. This is only a workaround. It would still be great to have a Kid's mode. ;-) EDIT: having said that, the truth is that such a kids mode would still need to be used together with a Kodi profile strictly for kids the same I detailed above. Cheers
Update I thought my workaround would work fine but soon after I posted my previous message I noticed that it doesn't work. When we open MrPiracy's addon, it logs us up on the website. This is a per design requirement. Unfortunately, when we open up the folder "Filmes Favoritos" through Kodi's favorites, the addon doesn't trigger the logon on the website and as a result it fails opening the movie list. This only worked that day because I already had opened the addon a couple of times a few minutes earlier.
Any ideas on an alternative workaround? Thanks in advance. Cheers
Hi guys. I use mrpiracy addon mainly for my kids. This way they can enjoy great animated movies in Portuguese. My problem is there is no Kids Mode in mrpiracy addon. That is, if I turn my back on them for a few seconds they can stop the movie they were playing and they can browse the non animated movies and that's a bit of an issue. They can end up watching a horror movie or some kind of x rated movie or something, which would be calamitous. I was wondering if you could minimize the issue by creating a mode that can only access to the favorites movies or series. This way I would tag favorite only the movies/tv shows that I see fit for them. In such a case, with that setting turned on, the only two things available after launching the addon should be "Movies" and "TV Shows", whereas they would in fact be the favorites movies and the favorites tv shows. No search button, no settings button, nothing else. Unless somebody has a better idea. Alternatively you could create a setting that would only list movies with the tags "animation" and "Portuguese language"... But this would be prone to failure because if the website has a wrong tag on a movie, we can either end up with a proper movie not being listed because of a missing tag or we can end up with an improper movie being listed due to being improperly tagged as a Portuguese animation. If you know what I mean.
