Our setup doesn't make it way too easy to contribute.

A CONTRIBUTING.md file should improve the situation, at least a little bit.

I propose we name it HACKING in tradition of open-source projects :-D

@pepol could be done, it's just that this GitHub thing doesn't recognize that which tells you everything you need to know about it.
