Fails to recognize synaptic device on startup.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Starting up windows.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Upon startup it tells me that it didn't find a synaptic device. Last time 
it was in German I think.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

1.0.6 OS Vista sp2

Please provide any additional information below.

I think it's trying to start before the synaptic device has finished 
loading or launching or whatever. If it would launch at startup but maybe 
with an option to delay that would maybe solve the problem.
