Hello and thanks! I'd like to keep this thing as international as possible (i.e. in English) so everyone can use it and adapt it to their need. Also I noticed that you committed your name, address and even your bank account to the branch you want to merge. That wouldn't make much sense for a boilerplate that's meant to be customized by everyone. Also, I think you should remove these data altogether for safety reasons. You might want to take a look at this page.
Looks like you figured out the line breaks thing by yourself. closingnote
is a YAML literal block that gets treated by Pandoc as Markdown during the conversion.
When you do want to insert a
<br />
break tag using Markdown, you end a line with two or more spaces, then type return. (source)
I also notice that you committed your signature in your fork of letter-boilerplate, so right now you have your name, address, bank account and signature all exposed to the public. I recommend you to remove all this sensitive information from public view as soon as you get the chance (definitely at least signature and bank account!).
You can use a private gist if you want to keep this data under version control. Also Bitbucket offers private repositories free of charge.
Yeah, silly me. Thanks for noticing!
I've adopted it more to German.
However I see one problem: "Kreditinstitut", "IBAN" and "BIC" are all together on one line (no line break).
