1. How exactly will we use eye-tracking and scrolling data to quantitatively compare trajectories?

• @msamogh looking into time-series models
• We can also handcraft a feature space. Sample features could include:
  • time spent in each section
  • number of times the participant re-read a line
  • number of times the participant re-visited a section
  • time spent in "deep reading"
  • time spent in "shallow skimming"

2. Collect information more than just research experience in the survey Would probably be better to make this a post-survey to prevent a priming effect. Candidate items:

• English proficiency?
• general research experience (not necessarily in the field of the paper)
• baseline reading speed (non-academic)

3. Get rid of one variable in the study design.

• This is probably going to be the reading objective variable.

4. How would you account for simultaneous reading and writing? Ref: #7 @singh-mansi

• We'd need to take into account window switching / eye focus away from the screen in our collected data. The browser extension should be able to trivially pick up the loss of focus on the active tab (https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/tabs/#event-onActivated)
