why would you want to backup your photos only every week? you know the disk
space
cost is virtually the same, right?

Hmm I did not thought about the disk space. Maybe I wanted to have as few
backups as
possible but as much as "needed".
I am thinking about the following: if nothing changed since the last backup
simply
rename the last one to the today one. This would be like a kind of changelog so
only
the relevant backups are "shown".
Nice Idea?

Another point would be if your files are to big for only one space (like in my
case).
I backup my docs etc. with flyback to my databackup drive.
For my pics, private movies, music, etc I have another backupscript which
backups
them to another bigger external disc.

I agree with the need for second profiles, while you don't take up any extra
space by
running the full backup, I'd imagine only doing an images folder, for instance,
could
be much faster than running a full backup. Very beneficial for those of us who
have
laptops and are always on the go.

Same here to have multiple profiles. For instance, I run backup on 2 different
target devices, backup files and directories are not the same.
