Thank you very much for your valuable contribution! Currently Comfort Reader assumes horizontal left-to-right text and recognizes "." and "," as separators (where it seeks to position the line breaks). Are there any adaptations needed to make it work better with japanese text? For example I often see symbols like "。" and "、". Are these the commonly used equivalents of "." and ","?
Yes, you can assume "。" and "、" as "." and "," .
@naofum I just committed the japanese separators. You can test the functionality with japanese text if you want to.
