Today the remainder of the holly from the first holly butchering day was loaded into mine and two neighbors yard waste containers.
I also pulled a few dozen more holly saplings, getting as many roots as I could.
Yesterday I sprayed roundup on a bunch of the front yard holly plants. We shall see how the holly likes that.
Today I lopped off 1/2 of the upper part of the tree, filling the neighbors yard waste bucket.
More holly was pulled and roots extracted today.
The last of the holly tree's top has been limbed and reduced to yard waste.

During the excavation for the gabion wall, nearly all the holly has been removed along the Eastern property edge. There's only a little bit remaining along the S. wall.
During the excavation for insulating along the S. wall, the last area with holly was cleaned.
Still a little work in progress. The stump in the front yard keeps sending up new shoots each spring. I prune 'em all back, slowly exhausting the roots. I. Will. Win.
Holly is invasive, aggressive, prickly, and not particularly attractive. Kill it. Kill it all.
