It would be really nice to have a function where the temperature rises gradually x minutes before scheduled time.

Ex. Scheduled 22C at 07:00 now at 20C Setting max 0.5C each 15 min. 06:15 20,5C 06:30 21C 06:45 21,5C

The reason is that it would be easier to pland, and it would increase the watercooling in the radiators when they start up slow.

The App doesn’t stop you from adding as many Set-points as you like :-)

What do you mean by increases water cooling?

bosund commented 5 years ago

I have added all the setpoints myself. But it would be nicer if I could choose that I want 22 degrees at 8:00 and then the temperature would start to rise so that it is 22 degrees at 8:00.

By water cooling, i mean the temperature difference between the water that goes in to the radiator and the water that goes out. If it is to low it decrease the overall effect of the installation (central heating plant).

Excellent app by the way.

I’m not sure if that really helps? Normally you balance the flow with the locksheet valves until you achieve a temperature gradient of about 10-12.

Just to be as brave as you are: What is the benefit of what you propose? :)

bosund commented 5 years ago

Good question. The benefit for many Danes would be a great cost reduction of the usage of heat. The heat delevery companies require the temperature difference between input and output to be more than 28 degrees, if lower we have to pay more. It is very difficult to reach this when lovering the heat at night, because of problem when turning the heat up again.

The other benefit would be the comfort of the temperature rising slowly so that it is at the desired level when scheduled.
