Would be great to include odds data into the predictions? #4

Hi,

Awesome project! I was going to do something similar myself but searched first and this looks like it ticks most of the boxes.

One thing is missing though: we need to test whether the model can make money when we bet on the predictions.

To do this we need to back test the model by comparing it's odds predictions with bookie odd, and then simulating a bet whenever bookie odds are greater than model odds.

I am more than happy to help out or just fork and do it myself but wondering if you had any ideas on this before?

I am more than happy to collaborate properly and share ideas over email or another method of messaging/comms.

Let me know what you think :-)

Hi! I apologize for not responding for a long time, but lately, I've had little time for projects like this. I'm glad you like my repo :) If I understood you correctly, you want to predict betting odds instead of which team will win the match, is that right? I like this idea, it's worth a try, you can go ahead if you want. I definitely encourage you to fork it.

I'm not sure that this way we'll be able to build a model that will "earn money" I think we would rather need to equip the model with "better data" form different sources like e.g. data from transfermarkt.

I have many ideas, unfortunately, time is not on my side, haha :D Anyway, I encourage you to develop the repo :)

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. The code was written "quickly" rather than "clean code".
