tzimmermsr commented 7 years ago

The MSR conference will have open elections for two new members for the MSR Steering Committee (SC). The Steering Committee provides general guidance and direction for the MSR Conference; it also selects future GC and PC Chairs. The term is three years. Members of the SC are expected to participate in MSR SC meetings, that will be held via Skype calls and physically during ICSE week. Anyone can be a candidate.

If you would like to be a candidate in the elections, please send an email to msr-sc(AT)googlegroups.com. Please include a short biography and candidate statement (each 300 words max) and a two-minute YouTube video statement (optional). For examples of candidate statements and bios, please visit last year's candidate slate [4].

Candidates are accepted until May 15, 2017. The list of candidates will be announced at MSR 2017 and through MSR social media [1][2] and GitHub channels [3].

The electronic voting period will be from June 5 to June 19, 2017. The results will be announced in the first week of July. Only registered MSR 2017 attendees can vote. We will send voting instructions by email on June 5.
